Kathy and Tom DeLoughry
Kathy and Tom began their collaboration as musicians, creating a new program to help teen patients at Buffalo Children's Hospital. With decades of experience in home care, health care, senior centers and faith-based settings, they combine the power of music and story-telling with evidence-based skills and strategies that have been honored with national awards and detailed in national publications. Because each piece of the "Wellness Puzzle" can help or harm the other pieces, their eldercare work is guided by the New York State Master Plan for Aging (which focuses on nine related pillars, such as caregiver support, affordability, technology, etc.); and the Social Determinants of Care.
